True Love
People who love music theory tend to love music theory. And for most people, once it clicks, it really clicks.It can be just as difficult for theory lovers to discuss or teach music without the theory as it would be for a native speaker of English to try to explain American slang while speaking only Spanish. How exasperating!
Sometimes between wanting you to love it because they love it, and it seeming so obvious to them that they can't understand why you don't understand it, theory lovers can be off-putting not only of themselves but also of the theory itself!
