DiminishedThe diminished symbol 𝇈 indicates that both the third and the fifth of the chord are lowered a half-step, superseding and implying the "m". The diminished symbol is used only when both the third and fifth are lowered. The symbol for a chord with a Major Third and a lowered fifth would not contain 𝇈 but would be written A(♭5) |
